Jasper Highet is a handmade leather belt maker from Devon
Jasper Highet has been working in the saddlery trade for 30 years, having started in this field because he wanted to learn a traditional craft. He was lucky enough to be taken on as an apprentice in a workshop which made bespoke saddles for many Saddlery shops in the Westcountry, and whilst there qualified as a Master Saddler.
Design Brief
Jasper came to us for a re-design of his Ecommerce website handmadeleatherbelts.co.uk the site needed to be responsive (works on all devices), be simple to use and navigate and easy to order from. The order process needed to take into account that belts can be customised to the user and make this as streamlined as possible. He also wanted some advice on strategy, help with existing branding and the best way to present his business.
Design Solution
We designed and developed a site that makes it a quick a simple process to order a custom belt to your specifications and allows you to become a member for ease of payment on subsequent visits. The site is responsive and optimised for SEO both locally and further afield, a search for hand made leather belts will return Jaspers site first in Google. We took Jaspers existing branding and re-focused, polished and extended it to create a uniform brand that works to communicate his values and story. We also re-designed his Oak Bark logo and advised on strategy and marketing ideas.
